As the Administrative Analyst, this position will be responsible for providing faculty support, operations, and analytic support to UCSF- East Bay Surgery division.
The individual will act as a high-level liaison between the faculty leadership, administrators, medical center administration, colleagues at national institutions and other Universities, public officials, and other persons outside the University.
This position requires a high level of independence and autonomy and will be expected to learn and understand the institutions’ policies (UCSF, UC Medical Center, and other foundations, organizations, and institutions) to resolve issues and implement Division policies for activities.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, proactive, great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents.

- Knowledge of UCSF policies and procedures
- Knowledge of UC Financial systems such as MyReports, MyExpense and BearBuy.
- Experience working in academic medical setting and understanding best business practices
- Prior experience working with UCSF purchasing, travel, and reimbursement systems (BearBuy, Conexxus, Concur);
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google platforms (especially email and documents) and Zoom
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative support to Chair of Department and Directors
- Working knowledge of standard organization-specific and other computer application programs. Excellent proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Demonstrated skill in word processing to prepare correspondence and other documents with speed and accuracy.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally, and in writing.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a timely and accurate manner with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, be exceptionally organized, focused with attention to detail, follow through with issues in a timely matter, perform under pressure with increasingly, challenging administrative tasks, accommodate last minute requests efficiently and effectively, respond promptly to conflicting priorities with minimal supervision.
