The University Child Care Center is accepting applications for a contractual Lead Teacher to provide support to Lead Teachers and Center operations. Serve as a Lead Teacher in classrooms that have a need, as well as, provide resources and support to team of Lead Teachers and Administration.
In the absence of a lead teacher, either for vacation or long-term leave, serve as lead teacher in classroom. Includes lesson planning and implementation, student observation and assessment, general classroom management and supervision of student staff. Interact with parents as appropriate. Maintain classroom management to allow leads to perform lesson planning, conduct conferences with parents, etc. Organize and maintain inventory of curriculum materials and library. Taking observational notes on lessons or of specific students at the behest of lead teacher or director. Work closely with assistant director to create and post training videos on Blackboard.
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
- 90 9 Clock Hour certification in early childhood curriculum & development and communication or MSDE teacher certificate or have completed a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in early childhood or elementary education.
- One year of classroom experience.
$45,000 annually and a contract that offers annual leave, holidays, sick days and tuition remission.
