Packing and Coating Operator

Job Location: Napa, California

Pay Rate: $17-$18/hour

Job Type: Temp to Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Description of Position:

Do you have experience working in a wine supply warehouse? Our client is looking for a Packing and Coating Operator to join their team. The Packing and Coating Operator will be responsible for following a daily production schedule to ensure all orders are packed by the end of the day. This role involves 50% forklift operation and 50% ground work, requiring accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Organizing bins per order
Feeding packing lines according to the production schedule
Moving empty bins
Assisting the team with coating corks
Lifting and moving items up to 55 lbs

Description of Company:

You will be supporting a well-established business in Napa, California, known as the world's largest producer of cork products. This company has a rich history of over a century, contributing significantly to the global spread of cork. They operate in numerous countries across all continents, making a decisive impact in the cork industry.

Experience Required:

Minimum one year of experience in a high-velocity manufacturing environment or equivalent education/work experience preferred
Strong attention to detail
Ability to set priorities and work independently within set guidelines; display appropriate sense of urgency
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently
Positive and professional attitude
Forklift experience required
Forklift certification preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Basic math skills (addition, multiplication)

Physical Demands:

Lift and move a minimum of 55 pounds without assistance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
