You will tackle complex technical challenges and build platforms to help optimize user engagement and empower customers. As a Staff Software Engineer on the Growth & Engagement team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of financial technology.

What you’ll do
Build a personalized platform to help customers discover relevant features and products across in-app, push, and email communication channels
Drive technical direction of projects while mentoring and up-leveling junior engineers
Design large-scale systems, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability
Lead organization-wide collaboration across multiple initiatives
Build new products and features from conception to launch/production
What you bring
10+ years of expertise designing, building, and scaling distributed systems and high-volume transaction applications
Expertise in architecting and designing large scale notifications systems for delivering push, email, and other forms of communications.
Experience working on a Growth team is a plus.
Experience building recommendation systems, Ads, or search is a plus
Experience setting technical strategy for a team and leading end-to-end execution across teams and functions
Experience providing technical leadership to 5 or more engineers and up-leveling the operational excellence of the team.
Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, communication skills, and a bias towards action

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
