The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is recruiting a conscientious and enthusiastic individual seeking employment in the area of clerical accounting.
As an Accounting Specialist, you will perform a variety of specialized accounting functions in the maintenance, review, and reconciliation of financial records and accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
The current vacancy is located in the Controller's Office. However, the eligibility list resulting from the recruitment will be used to fill future vacancies during the life of the eligibility list.

Required Education and ExperienceEducation: Graduation from high school or equivalent with completion of 9 semester or 12 quarter units in college-level accounting courses from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience: Two years of experience in clerical accounting or bookkeeping.
Additional Requirements: Hybrid remote schedules may be available.
Selection ProcessCandidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of multiple-choice exam, performance exam, and structured interview.
