Responsibilities The LifeWorks School is currently seeking a full time Principal to support our Lifeworks Day School in Levittown, PA. LifeWorks Day School is located in the Levittown section of Lower Bucks County which is a specialized private academic school licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and nationally accredited by AdvancED®. LifeWorks Day School offers an Autistic Support program and Emotional Support/Learning Support program for students enrolled in Elementary, Middle and High School grades 3-12. SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as lead school administrator overseeing all areas of operation, management, and supervision for assigned program(s). Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, communicate effectively, and interface with multi-disciplinary team, parents, caregivers, social services, district personnel, regulatory bodies, and other outside support agencies. Demonstrate and ensure adherence to school mission, vision, values, and four cornerstones. Provide support and supervision to staff through role modeling, direct observation, supervision groups, and individual supervision. Attend IEP meetings to contribute feedback pertaining to school program and reason(s) for placement. (When relevant/ as needed create IEP’s to assist in caseload management). Coordinate with Clinical Director of Schools, school counselor and behavior manager, crisis management and any necessary evaluations with FBH admissions department as well as interface with outside support agencies. Monitor, assess, and report on academic rigor/quality via monthly UHS Academic Accountability standards and School Improvement Plan. Demonstrates knowledge of customer service and the ability to form and maintain relationships with school districts (referral sources) through ongoing communication, marketing endeavors, IEP meetings and direct contact. A valid PA Principal certification preferred.
