EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Operations Engineer
in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Germantown, MD office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Interface with engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
- Estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling process requirements of new or existing product lines.
- Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field plus 6 months’ experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering OR Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering.
- Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: mechanical engineering; MES; 5S; Kaizen; Six Sigma; Quality Tools; Lean manufacturing; VSM; PFMEA; and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
