POSITION SUMMARY: The role of the Outbound Dock Lead is to support the Outbound Dock Supervisor in supporting the preparation of the Outbound Dock activities, driving the on-time shipping of specified customers. preparing primarily LTL an TL shipments for transit with customer expectations at the forefront. Loading and Unloading freight, setting pick up schedules with carriers, utilize customer TMS sites and submit routing requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare LTL and TL shipments for transit
- Support new 5.11 retail store load ins
- Monitor conveyor line feeding dock space to ensure that product is flowing smoothly
- Support the palletization process, to ensure accuracy of customer fulfillment
- Collaborate with other Leaders to support the team on and around the the dock and picking / packing areas
- Follows direction on how & what freight is to be palletized
- Support of maintaining shipping records
- Support palletizing goods and generating Bill of Lading documents for transportation
- Segregating truck shipments, shirk wrapping & palletizing shipments for a clean delivery
- Ensure shipments are shipped by the appropriate cut-off and or deadline dates
- Utilize customer routing sites to request and obtain shipping instructions
- Execute labeling requirements per customer requests
- Support pickup schedules with LTL & TL carriers
- Ensure all freight is signed for and proof of pick up is obtained
- Use pallet jack / carts to move orders to appropriate packing / shipping & staging locations location
- Notifying supervisor of process errors or team member deficiencies
- Tracing discrepancies to see where errors have occurred
- Assist in managing break & lunch schedules for team
- Assist in tracking attendance – late starts / early departures Train team members on processes in department
- Supports 5S and Process Improvement Initiatives
- Ensure best housekeeping practices are being obtained
- Ensure all working tools are in place and accounted for
- Report any unsafe conditions to leadership

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in supervising within a high-volume Distribution Environment. Experience with WMS, RF and Conveyor Systems is desired.
Language Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization. Speaks clearly in positive and negative situations. Listens and gets clarification. Listens to others without interrupting.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and monetary units. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

Computer Skills: MS Office Applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Dynamics 365 and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) applications experience is preferred. Radio Frequency (RF) experience is desired
Other Skills: Prior experience with Forklift Operations is desired.

Pay Range: $20 - $23 per hour
