Job Abstract

The Animal Care Technician will provide daily husbandry, monitor the health, production, and physical environment of rodent models housed at the CooperSurgical (CSI) Vivarium. These environments may be individual ventilated cages (IVC) or barrier rooms. Duties include daily observation, feeding and watering, sanitizing and/or sterilizing animal cages and equipment. May assist in the collection of biological samples and administration of hormonal injections. Receives and stores materials/supplies as well as maintains animal records.
