Qualifications 1.--Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an American Medical association approved school of Respiratory Therapy. 2--Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registry-eligible therapist as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care, or enrolled and complete an AMA approved program within 1 year of hire if currently has CRT credential. 3--Must complete 6 hours of continuing educational credits per calendar year as recognized by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. 1--Must obtain authorization to practice by letter, provisional or full license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. 2--RRT status must be achieved within one year from date of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) training is prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training is required within 6 months of hire for Respiratory NICU and to be maintained thru duration of employment.
