Job Description The Combat Mission Systems business unit within BAE Systems, Inc is searching for a Weld Engineering Lead to support Weapons Systems production at multiple facilities in the United States.
In this role the Weld Engineering Lead will:- Assess and influence contractual requirements and specifications; facilitate process/procedure updates to align with requirements
- Manage the development and implementation of Procedure Qualifications and Weld Procedure Specifications
- Provide proposals and justification for budgets, staffing, and capital investments
- Interface with Program and Technical customers to resolve complex fabrication issues
- Support Process Improvement initiatives related to Welding and Fabrication of Aluminum and Steel products

Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's Degree in Welding Engineering with a minimum 10 years of engineering experience; demonstrated performance in a technical leadership role
- Demonstrated capability to lead an engineering team in a manufacturing environment
- Experience developing and executing Fabrication, Welding, and Inspection/Acceptance requirements
- Experience interfacing with Customers and External Stakeholders
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Certification and experience working as an AWS Certified Welding Inspector a plus;
- Experience working with a DoD or other U.S. Government customer preferred;
- Proficient in AutoDesk/AutoCAD beneficial;
- Proficient in ProE/Wildfire software helpful.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $115100 - $195700
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
