The Director, Nursing Services of the Resuscitation Science and ECMO Programs is responsible for the supervision, management, improvement and training of all work and staff related to Resuscitation Science and ECMO programs. They will directly supervise the Rescue Team and lead their growth and development across the system. They will insure all regulatory and system standards are met or exceeded and strive for excellence with the programs outcomes. Manages teams, partners with all service lines at all campus locations to insure the highest quality of care delivery to patients in need of resuscitation sciences. Responsible for promoting the ECMO and cardiogenic shock network to referring physicians and hospital administrators. Managing relationships across the division and in the community. Serve as liaison between the various multidisciplinary components of the Shock Team, including Advanced Heart Failure, Interventional Cardiology, CT Surgery, Cardiac Anesthesia, CVICU, ECMO team, Pulmonology, Palliative Care, and other Consulting services. Collaborating to insure quality of care and delivery outcomes meet or exceed ECMO program standards. Manage ELSO program registry and all GWTG resuscitation Science participation. Required to obtain PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire.
Education
Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)
Other : Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Required)
Masters Degree : Nursing or Healthcare related field (Preferred)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
5 years experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting (Required)
3 Years experience within the field of ECMO (Required)
3 Years experience as a RN in critical care, pre-hospital or emergency nursing (Required)
2 years experience in a clinical leadership role (Preferred)
License/Certifications
BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
PALS - Pediatric Adv. Life Support (Preferred)
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Preferred)
CCRN - Cert Critical Care RN (Preferred)
CEN - Cert Emergency Nurse (Preferred)
PHRN - PA PreHospital RN Cert (Preferred)
