Provide leadership for the development, revision, and implementation of mathematics and science curriculum and instruction
Coordinate and facilitate district-wide professional learning and support school-based professional learning aligned to district and school improvement plans in collaboration with district and building leaders
Demonstrate model lessons and support grade level teams
Facilitate the review, design, and selection of mathematics and science curriculum resources and assessment materials
Collaborate with building leaders
Facilitate PreK-12 vertical teams for math and science in collaboration with department supervisors
Other responsibilities as determined by Director of Elementary Education
Work Year: Basic work year for teachers plus two days.
Certification: Elementary Education required
Qualifications: Strong math background and experience teaching and coaching elementary mathematics and science; experience in development of curriculum and instructional strategies as well as facilitation of district or building professional learning; knowledge of Common Core mathematics and state science standards; must be able to work collaboratively to build a strong math program for all learners
