Under the direction of the Child Nutrition Services Supervisor, lead, oversee and participate in food service distribution operations within the Central Kitchen; assure and record foods dispatched are at the proper temperature and transport equipment is operating properly; oversee and assure the timely distribution of food and supplies to elementary schools and contracted preschools on heated transport carts; schedule, train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned Child Nutrition staff.
Requirements / Qualifications

Any combination of:
• Two year's of skilled experience working in a high volume institutional food service setting.
• Knowledge of monitoring sanitation/food distribution.
• Knowledge of storage and rotation of perishable foods.

Located in east San Diego County. The district is 66.3 square miles in size, and serves elementary students in grades K-8 feeding into the Grossmont Union High School District. The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools and 1 preschool). The District is largely urban in nature with some rural areas. Regardless of what our employees’ needs are, we meet them with the personalized attention only a caring school district can provide.
