Recognizing the changing and fast-paced professional landscape, you will work with our financial services clients to better align their regulatory reporting operating infrastructures within their business strategies. As a Senior Manager in our Regulatory Reporting practice, you will spend most of your time managing client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and managing business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts. You are also expected to be able to demonstrate your expertise with existing/emerging digital tools and technology in the market that can be applied to Regulatory Reporting. We need a leader with a strategic vision that can help drive the regulatory digital reporting agenda. You will be part of engagement leadership and manage teams to bring our broad range of capabilities and insights to enhance the role and effectiveness of regulatory reporting and overall finance function. You will partner collaboratively with colleagues in Data, Technology and Risk to develop, lead, and deliver our latest solutions to support senior executives at the largest banks in the industry to transform regulatory reporting and achieve increased accuracy of reporting to produce better business insights, profitability, performance measurement and regulatory compliance.
Your key responsibilities
- Run large scale and multi year regulatory reporting transformation programs
- Serve in engagement leadership role to build and deliver our latest solutions and capabilities to C-suite executives and regulatory reporting functions including data analytics, data tracing, operating model design, governance and controls, managed services, and other regulatory activities.
- Responsible for proactively monitoring industry and economic trends and understanding the impact to our market and business and translating that through business development initiatives
You will lead multiple client engagement teams, work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and lead business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts within financial services Sector. Specifically, you will:
- Advise clients on a variety of regulatory reporting services to help identify, assess, manage, and measure the organization's capabilities. Rely upon business process, organizational / innovative technology capabilities, and knowledge across several of the following focus areas:
- Regulatory Reporting transformation
- Regulatory Reporting optimization and efficiency
- Liquidity and Treasury-related reporting including stress testing and LCR experience
- Risk assessment, prioritization, and analysis of critical risk areas
- Data tracing from source or data warehouses to final report
- Regulatory reporting conformance testing, review, and analysis
- Regulatory assessment support
- Regulatory and Statutory Reporting strategy and improvement
- Automation and digital capability enablement
- Team with client technology professionals, and/or third-party strategic alliance associates to implement regulatory reporting related technology solutions
- Support service delivery including but not limited to defining project approach, leading, and motivating project work streams, monitoring, and managing project risks, managing stakeholders, and successfully delivering client solutions.
- Identify opportunities and new business development, including building strong mid to senior level client relations, understanding client needs and EY solution offerings, communicating client opportunities to EY leadership.
- Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge and stay current with industry practices and regulatory guidance
- Lead client engagements, including engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building and management.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- A bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related work experience.
- A degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or Business; MBA and/or CPA is preferred
- 8+ years of experience in providing consulting services required, in the finance function and other operational areas that impact the finance function
- Experience with key regulatory reports for banking organizations (e.g., FR Y-14, FR Y-9C, Call Reports, FFIEC 009, etc.)
- Demonstrate characteristics of a forward thinker and self-motivator that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge
- History of driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the "C" level of Fortune 500 companies, required
- Ability to manage and lead large global teams of consulting professionals on multiple projects, accounts and on business development initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment internally and externally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written executive communication skills
- A strong work ethic
- A willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 50% +
- A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel internationally
- Knowledge and understanding of the overall finance function operations including regulatory reporting specifically.
- Experience with Regulatory Reporting technology applications and tools commonly used in the industry
- Experience in areas such as financials, consolidation, regulatory reporting and controls.
- Experience working in a team environment and exhibit leadership skills.
- Possess excellent executive communication skills and an inclination to bond with the client to provide an outstanding service delivery experience.
- Leading large-scale client engagements. Fostering relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently delivering quality client services. Driving high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.
- Monitoring progress, managing risk, and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Managing expectations of client service delivery.
- Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client’s business.
- Effectively managing and motivating client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Providing constructive on- the- job feedback/coaching to team members.
- Fostering an innovative and inclusive team- oriented work environment. Playing an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization
- Cultivating and managing business development opportunities. Developing and maintaining long- term client relationships and networks.
Ideally, you'll also
- Experience running large scale multi-year regulatory reporting remediation programs or proven track record leading large-scale client engagements
- Possess a deep knowledge and strong understanding of the overall finance function operations and business process re-engineering.
- Have prior experience in any of the following areas is a positive:
- Assessment and redesign of business, risk and control processes
- Refinement of target operating models particularly within the Finance function
- Management reporting / financial planning & analysis
- Business intelligence/decision support
- Business/merger Integration

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $148,900 to $340,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $178,700 to $386,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
