THE POSITION
The primary goal of this position is to teach the district’s K-5 music curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1. New Jersey Teacher of Music Certification or Eligibility required. 2. Teaching experience preferred. 3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate regularly with the Pre-KGrade 12 professional learning community to promote cohesiveness and unity within the program. 4. Able to build a school and classroom culture in which students gain an interest in and appreciation for music and the arts. 5. Able to guide the learning process toward the achievement of established NJSLS and district curriculum goals and implement a variety of teaching and assessment techniques (including formative and summative) to ensure student achievement and engagement. 6. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.
