The Pharmacist Clinical Specialist is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical care to all patient age groups including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and neonatal patients. They are responsible for providing all levels of pharmacy clinical services within specialization in their assigned area, including but limited to the preparation , dispensing, and monitoring of both the prescribing and effectiveness of all medications and IV admixtures.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Familiarity with all phases of Hospital Pharmacy
- Completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency required
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Registration in New Jersey as a Pharmacist, New Jersey licensure required
Essential Functions:
- They exercise considerable independent decision making,
- The Specialist is responsible for assisting the Director of Pharmacy and Assistant Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services in the coordination and supervision of all clinical pharmacy activities in addition to the quality improvement and quality assurance activities relating to the provision of pharmaceutical care
- The Specialist plans, organizes, analyzes, and compiles the facility s medication utilization programs as required and assists in the implementation of cost containment programs
- Furnish clinical information to physicians, pharmacy personnel, health care practitioners, and patients
- Serves to supervise the clinical activities of the clinical pharmacists

$58.39 to $ 67.08 Hourly Rate
