Job Abstract

Location: Simi Valley
Salary: $25.00-30.00/hr (DOE)
Schedule: 2nd shift 3:30pm - 11pm, occasional extra time needed
This is a full-time, direct-hire position
 

Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting, repair work, and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery, equipment, and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels
• Document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes 
• Complete the documentation process for machinery usage and equipment maintenance. 
• Maintain cleanliness of the maintenance equipment shop.
• Stay familiar with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and processes and relationships with appropriate equipment vendors and suppliers
• Keep technical knowledge up-to-date by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED required; Trade or technical certification preferred.
• Several years of preventative maintenance experience.
• Must have working technical knowledge, including hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical repair, and PLC.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must coordinate multiple jobs effectively and handle detailed and broad-range projects while meeting deadlines.
• Must have experience with software interface tools for Allen Bradley or GE Fanuc, PLCs, and Windows-based software preferred.
• Experience repairing and maintaining CNC Mill and Lathe machines is a must.
• You will need to have strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision required.
• Must be able to locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Must be able to remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining the form and texture of parts.
• Must adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Must be able to fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Must maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
