You are a person who leads by doing, has & recognizes strong interaction design and visual storytelling skills, and has a deep passion for solving problems at scale. You thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and are comfortable thinking outside of the box to navigate competing priorities. Your ability to influence and exceptional communication skills are essential to success in this role. You value clarity, listen carefully, and iterate quickly. You understand and value both quantitative & qualitative research methodologies, and have experience with data-informed design in an agile environment. You engage and inspire designers, product teams, and developers to do their best work and give your best effort every day. You own your product area and you drive both delivery and innovation. You take responsibility for your work and celebrate your team’s successes.
Responsibilities
Nurture the existing high-functioning UX team via coaching, mentoring, and management (including managing managers)
Continue to grow the team by recruiting, hiring, and onboarding world-class UX talent
Contribute to and cultivate an inclusive, diverse, and collaborative Salesforce UX team and environment
Influence and compellingly communicate the Customer 360 experience vision to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
Reinforce a design-led and data-informed culture that leverages the best product, technology and innovative talent
Build strong partnerships across disciplines, such as Product, Engineering, and Marketing
Collaborate closely with product owners and user research to create a customer-focused vision for your product areas
Work with product management and engineering to define product scope and roadmap
Work with Engineering and QE to deliver high-quality final products
Evangelize new interface guidelines and design patterns
Lead your team crafting user-centered designs by considering personas, market segment analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings
Present design work to cross-functional stakeholders and executives for review and feedback
Requirements
10+ years of experience designing and delivering products in cross-functional teams from start to finish
5+ years of direct management experience
A strong passion for managing and mentoring designers
5+ years of experience as a senior creative individual contributor
BA/BS or MA/MS in design related field, or equivalent experience
A portfolio demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions
A systems thinker with experience designing enterprise software
Experience with design systems and designing for web & mobile device experiences
An understanding of object models and multi-tenant architecture
Experience in design thinking methodologies, from research, design, to building tangible outcomes
Proficiency with a variety of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch and InVision

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $223,000 to $372,900.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
