As we continue to grow and expand our offerings, we are seeking a multifaceted and experienced Senior Director to lead our software development team and drive the advancement of our transplant software and related services.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Director of Software with experience in leading software development teams. As a member of the senior leadership team and reporting to the President of Transplant Diagnostics, the successful candidate will serve as the overall strategist and business leader responsible for the development, implementation, support of our on-market and new transplant software capabilities. The ideal candidate has a history of ensuring products meet quality standards, functionality, and usability. In addition, you will play a key role in shaping our product roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and driving innovation in the transplant software space.
What will you do?
Strategic Leadership
Provide strategic direction and leadership for the development of transplant software and our new related software services business segment.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement the company's software strategy, with a focus on driving growth and market innovation, while improving our core product line through enhancements to our software.
Identify emerging trends, technologies, and industry opportunities and implement them to continually enhance our software offerings.
Team Management
Lead, manage, and develop a team of software developers, architects, and engineers, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and performance excellence.
Set a clear vision and goals and ensure they are aligned with the company's overall mission and business objectives.
Provide coaching, build accountability, mentor, and support to team members, helping them grow professionally.
Product Development
Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring the timely and successful release of high-quality software products.
Work closely with leadership from Product Management, Research & Development, and other partners to define product requirements and specifications.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in our software solutions, incorporating user feedback, industry best practices, and technological advancements.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Ensure our software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and security.
Implement robust testing processes and procedures to identify and address any issues or defects in the software.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements to industry standards.
Customer Engagement
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to understand customer needs and requirements.
Engage with key customers and collaborators to gather feedback, address concerns, and find opportunities for improvement.
Build strong relationships with customers and partners, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for our software solutions.
Assist with customer software implementation and support as needed.
How will you get here:
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field required.
Experience
10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of success in leading software development teams and delivering high-quality software products.
Understanding of the transplant industry, including knowledge of transplant workflows, processes, and regulations.
Strong technical background in software development, with expertise in relevant technologies and frameworks.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and driving business growth.
Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $221,600.00–$332,375.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
