You will coordinate and review work assignments of employees performing the same general work as the lead on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: solving problems, implementing new processes and providing instructions on work procedures. The Administrative Office 3 is responsible for management of projects involving complexity, sensitivity, numerous contacts with faculty, department leaders, and senior level executives. In this role, you may generally have broad authority within established parameters to make decisions. This classification is distinguished by the high degree of independence and level of responsibility, the greater complexity of work assigned, management of large programs and/or supervisory responsibility for two or more professional, technical, and/or support staff.
Salary Range: $71500 - $154900/Annually

All Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
10 years minimum of Business operations and/or administration or equivalent experience/training.
Supervisory experience.
Advanced organizational and project management skills, including ability to work independently, determine appropriate priorities, and complete projects accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of attention to detail, despite competing deadlines.
Specific knowledge of the neuroscience and genetic research landscape at UCLA, the UCLA autism center (CART) and UCLA center for Precision Health and their general activities.
Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and apply University and campus policies; define problems; formulate logical conclusions, recognize alternatives.
Strong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, and clear reports and document.
Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with University-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written.
Advanced expertise using computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database management and timekeeping software.
Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education.
