The Nurse Educator Inpatient Behavioral Health will join the newly renovated Inpatient Behavioral and Mental Health department, reporting to the Director of Behavioral and Psychiatric Services. Nurse Educator Inpatient Behavioral Health will primarily be responsible for overseeing educational programs, new hire orientation, and preceptor program for the Inpatient Psychiatric and Behavioral units dedicated to both a voluntary and involuntary adult psychiatric and behavioral population. The Inpatient Behavioral Health Nursing Educator will also update policy procedures, ensure hospital, state, and federal regulatory compliance, and cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of nurses, dieticians, social workers, case managers, physicians, and ancillary staff.
The Nurse Educator Inpatient Behavioral Health will have a clinical background working in an inpatient behavioral health, mental health, or psychiatric unit, be a registered nurse, and be master’s prepared. Ideally the Nurse Educator will also have inpatient behavioral or psychiatric experience, and have previous preceptor or inpatient nurse educator experience.
