Position Title: Data Entry Processor-EMREG - 996674
Position Overview & Job Duties:
Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered. Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors. Proofreads entered information to ensure accuracy. Prepares and distributes documents. Organize information alphabetically, by subject matter, or by using codes to maintain orderliness. Ensure that files are up-to-date, accurate, and readily available. Scans and uploads documents to database. Store completed documents in appropriate locations. Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors. The general schedule for this position is 20 hours a week during regular campus operating hours, with flexible scheduling offered.
Under general supervision of the Registrar, assists with special projects related to data input or data evaluation.
Provides clerical or administrative assistance to the Registrar as needed.
Proofreads entered information to ensure accuracy of input data.
May provide clerical and/or technology support to departments under the Registrar umbrella when needed; this includes but is not limited to the offices of Academic Records, Testing Services, Veteran Student Services, and Articulation of Credit and Degree Certification.
Evaluates and analyzes student records in preparation for imaging, indexing, processing, and data entry.
Assists Registrar with implementing and documenting processes and procedures.
Qualifications Required:
Requires general education or vocational training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Data entry experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must have basic computer knowledge.
Attention to detail and proofreading skills; Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to perform duties effectively, efficiently and accurately.
