Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Facilities Architect to join our team in Springfield or Chantilly, VA. This organization supports mission critical government programs.
This position will require extensive customer interaction in a service oriented environment. The selected candidate will work with a small group of engineers and an Architect Professional (AP). Candidate will work with SAP and AutoCAD on a daily basis.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops moderately complex conceptual designs, final designs and provides maintenance support for the architectural phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds.
- Leads and develops projects from early concept through design development.
- Prepares drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Reviews and documents facilities building projects.
- Consults with clients to determine their requirements.
- Coordinates preliminary architectural studies for major new structures and alterations to existing structures and facilities development.
- Works with teams across building facilities and engineering lines of effort, and coordinate with subcontractors.
- Resolves design issues with innovative and practical solutions.
- Modifies existing plans to fit client needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U. S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph is required Post Start.
Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
- AutoCAD experience
- Architectural experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
- 3+ years' Architectural experience
- An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph
- Bachelors degree or higher in Architecture
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Entry-Level:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Associate:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
RELOCATION
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range Entry-level: $68,000 - $92,000
Summary pay range Associate: $83,300 - $112,700
