Job Summary: The Strategic Sourcing Data Analyst will be part of the core Category Management & Strategic Sourcing team The analyst will lead and manage all data creation and reporting requirements and is responsible for data architecture, design, and control of reporting solutions, validation of data, and report consistency. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and manage all data requirements in support of the strategic sourcing process.
Develop and maintain department cost savings KPI models and dashboards.
Responsible for data preparation and consolidation and delivery of reporting material.
Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on the supply chain.
Develop material cost forecasts and/or standard cost lists.
Analyze and present supplier performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes.
Identify business improvement opportunities within large data sets that may be internal, external, or market-driven.
Manages and continuously improves reporting processes and analyses/evaluates the results.
Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or product distribution, storage, or inventory.
Develop models to track cost savings by business unit & P&L.
Support development and updating department PowerPoint presentation requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Four-year college degree, or equivalent.
Five (5)+ years experience in Supply Chain/Data Analytics.
Able to make robust models in Excel.
Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex supply-related problems with experience with cost analysis.
Demonstrated success in monitoring and assessing the performance of multiple metrics and suppliers for a technology-based organization.
Preferred:
Pulling data from SAP.
Awareness of the strategic sourcing process.
Tableau.
