As Plant Manager II of our Fresno, Texas facility, you will have a unique opportunity to lead a team of 100 associates in a reaction chemistry environment. You will be responsible for overall safety, quality, cost, service, engagement and direction of all activities concerned with product production and shipping for the facility. You will play a pivotal role in a fast-paced growth organization supporting our critical refining and chemical customers, driving the plant through a journey of continuous improvement with TPM and helping us continue to build a world class manufacturing organization. Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing for Industrial NA, you will join a team of other dedicated plant managers in the North American manufacturing team – sharing best practices with each other and enhancing your skills.
Location Plant Information
Facility includes an inline mixer, reaction vessels, and blending vessels with EO/PO reactions – the only site in Ecolab globally to have this capability
The facility is an EPA Title V site and is covered under OSHA’s PSM regulations
The facility has a pilot plant onsite and the Nalco Fleet, none reporting to the plant but the landlord for the entire facility
Non-union
Plant primarily operates 24-7 or 24-5 depending on the department

What You Will Do:

Provide exceptional leadership to direct reports and to the site as a whole
Develops and aligns the local Supply Chain vision, mission, strategy and objectives with divisional and corporate strategy and objectives
Accountable for adhering to Ecolab’s, local and governmental guidelines related to SH&E, quality, regulatory, and the code of conduct/ethics
Accountable for the safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service of the Supply Chain and meeting KPIs
Overall ownership of TPM implementation and culture
Manages the people, materials, equipment, and business processes to deliver site performance objectives, as measured by corporate and local KPIs
Empowers team by way of training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, appraisals, and delegation to ensure the development of people and organizational capabilities.
Interfaces and liaise with corporate headquarters to manage communication and information flow between the plant and external environment
Develops and implements strategic capital expense budgets to ensure long term technical and financial viability of the plant’s manufacturing processes and ensures alignment of the budget to divisional and corporate strategy
Act as a role model of effective change management strategy, planning, and executions
Develops and implements labor strategy in partnership with HR
Develops and executes a site master plan of the manufacturing and distribution facility as well as organizational capabilities, necessary to support future growth
Instills and supports a continuous improvement mindset across the site
Accountable for the integrity of the business processes related to finished goods, inventory replenishment, and new product introductions
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or like discipline; preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
10+ years manufacturing experience with significant experience in Continuous Improvement such as TPM
5+ years progressive successful experience managing and leading staff and line positions
2+ years functional experience in Engineering or Production
2+ years of experience managing financial budgets
2+ years capital management experience

2+ years of experience leading TPM processes
Experience of manufacturing for a fast-paced growth business
Demonstrated experience participating in large-scale business and culture change imperatives
Additional functional experience in at least two of the following areas: Distribution, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and SHE
Willingness to relocate for future positions
