Job Abstract

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join one of our amazing clients in Davis, CA!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay: $26-$36/hr depending on experience

Essential Duties/Tasks:

Prepares equipment by performing clean-in-place (CIP), operating autoclave or sanitization procedures, and cleaning out-of-place (COP); conducting operator inspections; performing preventive maintenance checks.

Produces requirements by operating and monitoring equipment; observing varying conditions; adjusting equipment controls; calculating concentrations, dilutions, and yields; adhering to aseptic filtering and filling procedures.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and current good lab practices (cGLP) and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.

Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; escalating issues and repair requests; ordering spare parts; calibration. Communicates directly with Facilities manager about equipment and facility needs. Performing initial/periodic validations on new equipment.

• Documents production by completing forms, reports, logs, and records of equipment and batches. Request changes to documentation and corrections to ensure best practices are standardized.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality. Propose and implement process optimization strategies.
• Utilizing lift trucks and powered lifts to move pallets of inventory between facilities and within facilities.
• Flexibility to support facility cleaning, maintenance, and waste management.
• Escalate issues or defects to Leadership.
• Produces components for/and DNA linearized products.
• Prepare DNA glycerol stocks. Culture cells, extract, linearize, and purify DNA using molecular biology best practices and aseptic techniques.
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment.
• Maintaining and updating documentation for the purchasing of non-raw material consumable inventory
• Ability to effectively train others on operations and procedures.
• Ownership and completion of continuous improvement and defect remediation efforts.
• Identify and generate solutions to potential issues related to Safety and Quality.

Education and Experience

• Associate degree or related industry certification and/or 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in cGMP or similar industry/field preferred.
  • Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Production Planning, Cell culture experience, sterile technique, operation of PLC controlled automated equipment.
