We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Benchtop Bioreactor Operations and Technologies Group within Biologics PR&D, as part of the team charged with supporting the operations of the mammalian and microbial bench top bioreactors and introducing innovative technologies. Candidate is expected to work in a team atmosphere in close collaboration with BioProcess development scientists, facility engineering, lab automation and safety groups.
What you can expect:
In this role you are expected to work in a team atmosphere in close collaboration with BioProcess development scientists, facility engineering, lab automation and safety groups. We will provide you the necessary on the job training needed to perform laboratory activities. Throughout your career, we will offer you continued development through training classes, workshops, meetings, etc., to improve job skills and product-related procedures.
Candidate will participate in a range of activities including, but not limited to:
Hands-on operation of bench top bioreactors to aid in the process development work.
Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment.
Assist in set up of novel technologies and process analytical tools.
Work collaboratively with the pilot plant operations, inoculum and media prep groups
Support training and safety initiatives
Education Minimum:
Required Experience and Skills:
Computer literacy in Word, Outlook, Excel
Able to work well with others and communicate effectively both written and orally.
Must be able to do weekend work on a frequent basis.
Must be flexible and able to perform multiple activities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in cross-functional team environment.
Perform housekeeping in all work areas.
Expected to lift and move various items up to 50 lbs
Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Hands-on experience in cell culture and bioreactor operations
Strong skills in laboratory experimentation and documentation
Proficiency in aseptic techniques
Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Expected salary range:
$53,200-$83,800.
