The mission of the Office of Facilities Planning and Management (OFPM) in the School of Medicine is to plan for and manage the facilities needs of the School of Medicine community in the areas of facilities operations, capital planning and budgeting, projects from programming through occupancy, space inventory, and facility assets.
Stanford University is seeking a Facilities Asset Planner to perform specialized, diverse work activities in smaller occupancy buildings for departments or units. This individual will manage the asset data for the Facilities Operations Department, including the research and implementation of a new CMMS system. In addition, this individual will coordinate solutions, working independently, solely supporting the operations, maintenance, repair, upkeep, inventory tracking, and refurbishing activities related to the physical environment and building systems of the university. This is an individual contributor role. This is a 100% onsite position.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines and project plans with short- and long-term end dates.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with performance metrics and KPI’s.
- Facilities management certification and or knowledge of commercial building operations and maintenance (Not Required).
- Working knowledge of Engineering and/or HVAC requirements (Preferred, Not Required).
- .Ability to respond to changing priorities; respond to emergency calls at night and on weekends.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
- Bachelor's degree and five years related, demonstrated facilities management experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in related field of asset management.

- Working knowledge of applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.
- Experience working with internal and external vendors and services contracting.
- Background knowledge of safe handling and disposal of chemicals and hazardous waste; emergency preparedness plans and their implementation; and property administration specific to PO tracking, receiving, and inventory control.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
- Valid California Non-commercial Driver's License.
- Facilities management certification (Not Required).
- Asset management certification (Not Required).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently stand/walk, seated, performs desk-based computer tasks.
- Occasionally climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 20 pounds
- Rarely; kneel/crawl, grasp forcefully, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license and drive day or night.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Requires 24-hour response availability seven days per week for emergency situations.
- May be exposed to noise > 80dB TWA.

The expected pay range for this position is $66,560 to $98,000 per annum.
