JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
The Project Management Office (PMO) Senior Project Manager in Inframarks PMO plays a key role managing the delivery of critical business & IT systems projects while also managing to timelines and budgets in collaboration with the functional leaders within the project.
The Senior Project Manager oversees multiple projects within Inframark. The Senior Project Manager will be well versed and have clear experience with respect to managing projects involving material process improvement initiatives and systems/technology implementations. This role is responsible for implementing and executing formal project management best practices and play a central role in connecting projects to the tools and resources they need to deliver smoothly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, organize, establish detailed project timelines, and direct the completion of several simultaneous business & IT projects while ensuring projects are on time, on budget, achieve expected outcomes and within scope.
Organize and lead project review meetings to include clear milestones, progress expectations and escalations with regard to project completion risks; take action as needed to ensure projects stay on track
Develop, maintain, and revise proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, budget, financial/operational KPI outcomes and resources.
Set and track project milestones; manage and account for unforeseen delays, realign schedules and expectation as needed. Track performance against expense expectations and help drive proactive efforts to ensure conformance to budget and timeline.
Establish and implement project communication and change management plans, provide status updates to affected staff, stakeholders and executive leadership team.
Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
Collaborate with business unit leaders and functional SMEs to define, prioritize and develop projects and programs.
Evaluate resources required to complete the project in comparison to overall resources demands to highlight potential constraints and/or project risks
Identify overall PMO process improvement opportunities and work with senior leadership to implement process changes
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Information Systems or a related field.
7+ years of experience working as a Program or Project Manager, managing large scale, cross functional projects.
Demonstrated experience in multiple systems/technology implementations and/or migration as the lead Program or Project Manager
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to effectively interact with all levels in the organization.
Outstanding organizational and administrative skills.
High energy, independent and self-motivated.
Oriented towards execution and solutions. Demonstrated ability to improve processes and to measure results.
Understanding of business fundamentals and major technology platforms.
Must have advanced level proficiency in using project planning software, SmatSheets preferred
Experience in service and utility industry preferred
