This person provides high quality care for individuals housed in the Harris County Jail. Perform intake health assessments and collaborates with advanced practice practitioners. The candidate will be trained on managing and documenting on urgent and chronic care issues in the event that medical provider coverage is needed in the general facility. 12 hour shifts with rotating weekends are required. Ensure organizational compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees: a) Doctor of Medicine: M.D. or D.O.
Licenses & Certifications: a) Must hold a valid Texas license to practice medicine and be registered as a physician in the State of Texas. Board Certified or eligible Family/General Practice or Internal Medicine for initial employment. Must be board-eligible or board certificated. Must become board certified before eligibility runs out. Must meet all credentialing criteria.
