The University of Houston Division of Energy and Innovation Executive Director of Educational Programs will work closely with internal and external industry and community partners to develop educational programs in Energy related fields. Will actively engage and connect with ecosystems within UH.
External engagement with industry, community, other educational institutions towards the creation and deliver of executive education as well as training, reskilling an upskilling the workforce
Engage with internal stakeholders towards the development and growth of undergraduate minors, graduate certificate and interdisciplinary certificate programs as well as engagement across the university on all non-traditional energy related education opportunities. This includes close alignment with current energy scholars program focused on incorporating experiential learning.
Connect with K-12, community colleges and workforce development organizations for the coordination and delivery of pipeline programs to enhance and grow educational outreach and recruitment.
Engage with international education organizations for the development and growth of collaborative education programs focused on energy.
Responsible for innovative marketing and communication strategies for education programs.
Enhances existing energy-related continuing education programs and connecting with internal and external stakeholders for deliveries as outlined in key performance metrics.
Cultivates, solicits and engages key external stakeholders to advance the unit's strategic priorities, including identifying stakeholders to serve on key task forces.
Fosters and enhances relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase awareness of the unit's vision, mission, goals and the university's drive to be a leader in energy and sustainability.
Identifies and engages key external stakeholders and serves on the on the development team to advance the university's strategic priorities in research and education.
Administers special events, marketing and media relations for the strategic priorities, and participates in other unit advancement activities as needed. Performs other job-related duties as required.
