The Petroleum Transport Driver & Service Tech will make deliveries of petroleum products to customer sites efficiently following all company and mandated protocols. They will install and troubleshoot fuel equipment and provide related services in a safe, efficient manner that maximizes customer satisfaction and sales. This position would include the safe delivery of petroleum to customer sites efficiently following all company and mandated protocols in a Tankwagon.
Essential Responsibilities:
Make delivery of petroleum products to customer sites in compliance with state and federal regulations and all Company operational and safety policies and procedures
Maintain truck and delivery logs in compliance with state and federal regulations; conduct required pre- and post-trip inspections
Communicate customer needs and inquiries to appropriate departments for follow up
Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned or requested
Invoice all products and services accurately as they are delivered or sold.
Promptly handle all customer complaints with follow-up until the complaint has been resolved.
Attend training sessions to stay current with petroleum industry safety and operational standards
Requirements
CDL class A or B w/clean driving record. Hazmat, tanker endorsements required
Current DOT medical card
Must meet all DOT requirements including road test, physical, and drug screen
Education and Experience:
2 years commercial driving experience preferred
Past fuel/oil delivery experience preferred but not required
Ability to work independently and be familiar with the local area
Possess basic math skills, organizational skills and be a team player
Physical Requirements:
Walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, squat, and climb, as required, in order to perform required vehicle inspections
May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds
May be required to be exposed to extreme weather conditions (snow, ice, heat, winds)
Occasionally climb ladders
Sit for extended periods of time in a truck and be able to drive, for as many as 11 hours while transporting fuel and other industry products
