Job Abstract

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:
   • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
   • Take and deliver accurate food and wine orders promptly.
   • Anticipate and address guests' needs to ensure a positive dining experience.
   • Provide recommendations and answer any menu-related questions.
2. Team Collaboration:
   • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
   • Communicate effectively with fellow servers to maintain a smooth flow of service.
   • Support and assist team members as needed to create a cohesive work environment.
3. Cleanliness and Organization:
   • Set up and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
   • Ensure tables are properly set with appropriate utensils, condiments, and menus.
   • Assist in cleaning duties, including bussing tables, sweeping, and other tasks as required.
4. Adherence to Policies and Standards:
   • Follow all restaurant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
   • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the well-being of guests and team members.

Physical Requirements:

1. Lifting and Carrying:
   • Ability to lift and carry trays loaded with food and beverages, weighing up to 35 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
   • Safely transport trays from the kitchen to dining areas and deliver orders to guests without compromising safety or service quality.
2. Standing and Walking:
   • Extended periods of standing and walking are essential components of the job.
   • Navigate the restaurant space efficiently, moving between tables and different sections to attend to guests promptly.
3. Bending, Stooping, and Reaching:
   • Perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and reaching to retrieve items, clean tables, and ensure overall cleanliness in the dining area.
   • Maintain a presentable and organized appearance of tables and surroundings.
4. Balancing and Coordination:
   • Maintain balance and coordination while carrying trays and navigating crowded or busy areas.
   • Safely navigate between tables and around obstacles to ensure a smooth and accident-free service.
5. Manual Dexterity:
   • Possess the manual dexterity required to handle utensils, carry trays, and serve food and beverages with precision and care.
   • Efficiently use point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
6. Multitasking:
   • Juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as taking orders, delivering food, refilling drinks, and addressing guest requests.

7. Endurance:
   • Demonstrate physical endurance to sustain the demands of a fast-paced restaurant environment throughout a shift.
