students with mild/moderate disabilities, including specifically identified special
needs.

Job Goals
To be responsible for students who have been determined to have specifically
identified special needs. To provide instruction through sound instructional
planning, programming, teaching methods and strategies.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with resource and support personnel regarding the development
and implementation of student instructional plans.
2. Responsible for teaching students with mild/moderate disabilities, including
conceptual knowledge, procedural input and methodologies of consulting related
to pupil assessment and evaluation, instructional planning and programming and
teaching methods and strategies.
3. Annually conducts evaluation of student progress and participates in revision
of the students' IEP's.
4. Plan and conduct parent conferences in an articulate and empathetic manner.
5. Maintain necessary student records according to District Policy and statutes.
6. Demonstrate continuing professional growth.
7. Perform such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board Policy
and Agreement.

Essential Job Functions:
• Visual ability to read handwritten or typed documents, and the display
screen of various office equipment and machines.
• Able to operate office machines and equipment in a safe and effective
manner
• Able to demonstrate manual dexterity necessary to operate a calculator,
typewriter and/ or keyboard.
• Able to Conduct verbal conversation.
• Able to hear normal range verbal conversation (approximately 60 decibels)
• Able to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend and walk.
• Able to sit for sustained periods of time.
• Able to climb slopes, stairs, steps, ramps and ladders.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Able to carry up to 25 pounds.
• Able to exhibit full range of motion for:
o Shoulder external rotation and internal rotation
o Shoulder abduction and adduction
o Elbow flexion and extension
o Shoulder extension and flexion
o Back lateral flexion
o Hip flexion and extension
o Knee flexion
