High School Diploma or GED
Medical Assisting certification/Diploma from accredited institution in addition to registered/Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA)
BLS certification through American Heart Association
Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
Preferred
1 year of Pediatric experience or family clinic experience
Epic Experience
Responsibilities:
Assists physicians with procedure set-ups, patient procedures and examinations.
Performs patient care, including vital signs, weights, rooming, assisting with procedures, medication administration (vaccinations) and injections and other necessary tests.
Processes requests for prescription refills according to established practice.
Answer patient phone calls/triage
Collection Specimens, handle medication and supply ordering, Vaccine administration
Coordinates day to day support operations and services
