Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary:
As a VSB Dean’s Office Student Ambassador, you’ll play a vital role in representing Villanova University and fostering a positive campus experience for prospective students, alumni, and guests. Your responsibilities will include:
Administrative Support:
Manage the reception desk, welcoming visitors and assisting with inquiries.
Handle incoming calls to the VSB Dean’s Office professionally, record messages, and respond promptly via phone or email.
Coordinate campus deliveries, sort mail, and maintain office supplies.
Executes daily tasks and projects to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness as assigned.
Assist with data entry, analysis, research, newsletters, and graphic design projects.
Event Support:
Provide event assistance for VSB Community and VIP engagements.
Prepare event materials and coordinate logistics.
Attend events as a student ambassador, networking with alumni and external guests.
Facility Support:
Coordinates event setup and breakdown, which involves arranging furniture, setting up food and beverage stations, and placing event materials.
Operate audio-visual equipment for meetings and events.
Ensure Bartley Hall tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Punctual and extremely reliable.
A team player and able to work well with others.
Detail-oriented and diligent to follow-up and complete tasks for assigned projects.
A positive, pleasant attitude with good problem-solving skills.
Neat and well-groomed to represent the Dean’s Office according to calendar of events.
Professional attire may be required for VIP tours or VSB events on occasion.
Assists with additional tasks as assigned.
Must be able to work 6 hours more per week.
Willingness to work at events outside of normal shifts when feasible.
Additional Information:
Must be able to work 2-3 of the following shifts: Mondays: 11am-1pm
Wednesdays: 11am-1pm, 3-5pm
Fridays: 8:30-10:30am, 9-11am, 11am-2pm
Physical Demands Summary:
Move tables and chairs on casters for meetings and events.
Stack and store chairs for meetings and events.
Move storage boxes and organize storage closets.
Wage Rate:
$10.00 per hour
