Job Abstract

We are recruiting for a Senior Legal Assistant for a reputable healthcare organization in Roseville. This Senior Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive legal administrative support to physicians and staff attorneys. Pay: $28-30 #Onsite #Roseville

The ideal candidate will have Legal Secretary or Legal Admin experience with heavy scheduling, coordination, and have strong technical skills to work with a variety of systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Type letters, reports, and legal briefs.
• Conduct data research and compos letters for attorney/manager approval. Respond to or draft responses to correspondence based upon knowledge and research of subject matter.
• Establish, maintain, code and close legal files concerning professional liability and contract issues, all of a highly confidential nature.
• Process vendor bills generated during litigation; reconcile case costs for each legal file and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepares a variety of special and recurring reports.
• In attorneys' absence, ensure that all indicated legal matters are brought to the attention of appropriate staff members.
• Represent the program in defending small claims actions through court appearances, and all preparation for same.
• Prepare arbitration workups, including research and supporting documentation for petitions to compel arbitration for all staff attorneys.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
• Associate’s degree OR two (2) years' experience in Legal Secretary or Legal Administrative role.
• Minimum three (3) years of Legal secretarial/administrative experience.
• Strong customer service skills required to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and attorneys both internal/external.
• Proficient with a variety of software applications.
• Attention to detail and highly organized.
