The Custom Spaces Market Manager - Northern California position is responsible for the execution and growth of Custom Spaces penetration for the stores in their market. This position partners with the General Manager and Store Managers of each store to drive sales results through Custom Spaces. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

Responsibilities
Leads the custom spaces selling efforts in-store through training and establishing best practices and consistency across the market
Responsible for communicating current information to the market regarding custom spaces training, offers, processes
Communicates consistently with the General Manager on how best to support and grow custom space sales in their store
Develops relationships with interior designers, real estate developers and architects in the market
Coordinates with Support Center departments that work with customers in the execution of their custom space.
Partners with Installation Services on customer’s issues regarding measurements and installation needs
Coaches and supports in partnership with the General Manager/Custom Space Sales Manager all in-Home Design Specialists
Trains and coaches new Designers in all custom space product lines, systems, and processes.
Prioritizes time on the salesfloor in the Custom Space area with an emphasis on training and coaching the team for the purpose of driving sales and improving the customer experience
Meets regularly with the Design team to evaluate the selling performance of each store as it relates to custom spaces selling efforts
Acts as liaison and provides support for In-Home Organizers
Supports all company initiatives and directives (sales, visual, training, operations, staff development, etc.) ensuring successful execution
Maintains awareness of regional marketing, public relations, advertising, and community involvement activities in the market
Stays current and evaluates all company and store-specific reporting and applies that knowledge to driving sales and affecting positive change in the store

Qualifications
College degree preferred
3-5 years management/leadership experience
Experience in retail sales field, preferred
Ability to travel based on the business needs
Experience coaching and managing teams – balancing the details as well as the broader view of the business
Experience managing others including career development, directing and evaluating work
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure
