Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leads the planning, design, and maintenance of connectivity for enterprise network assets to ensure compliance and secure operations on both unclassified and classified networks (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS).
Collaborates with stakeholders to address connectivity requirements and implement necessary configurations to facilitate efficient and secure data transmission, ensuring all network switches and routers are operational, properly configured, and compliant with customer security requirements (e.g., DISA STIG).
Ensures regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of network switches to ensure optimal performance.
Configures, maintains, and monitors firewall, intrusion protection, and intrusion detection systems for network access control and authentication in accordance with ATO requirements, cybersecurity policies, and standards.
Implements the necessary security measures to protect specialized systems and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats and supports the planning and implementation of enterprise service connections among networks, systems, and applications across domains.
Facilitates connections for auditing, authentication, secure cloud computing architecture (SCCA), and Cross Domain Solutions and Guards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Collaborates with ISSOs and the Cyber Services Lead in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process; Works with other IIC members/teams to determine root cause and develop reports for stakeholder consumption.
Mentors and trains junior staff in methods and processes for effective resolution, tuning and system optimization, alert definitions, appropriate actions, and other routine engineering activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related field
Four (4) years of additional experience is required with a High School diploma; two (2) years of additional experience is required with an Associate’s degree
A Master’s degree may be considered in lieu of two (2) years of experience; a Ph.D. can be considered in lieu of four (4) years of experience
Five (5) years of position-specific experience
IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work.

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
