About the Role
As a Sr Financial Analyst (Internal Controls), you are responsible to coordinate all audit related activities and requirements. You will be working with internal auditors and external auditors to ensure that the financial statements and processes are in full compliance with Accounting / Harman / Samsung policies and procedures. This role will work closely with Global Controlling and Corporate Accounting teams. The position will also collaborate with operational business leaders to support the growth and profit objectives for the North America region of the Lifestyle Consumer Audio business. The role also supports major corporate and global initiatives. The North America region is headquartered in Northridge, CA with annual revenues of over $1 Billion.
Your Team
You will report to the Director, FP&A and Accounting for Lifestyle Consumer Audio for the North and Central America region.
What You Will Do
Ensure that all audit requirements are completed in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
Make recommendations to improve internal controls and control data sheets (CDS).
Perform regular reviews of the control environment to ensure full compliance.
Identify bottlenecks and process opportunities for simplification and improvement.
Work with functional teams to ensure compliance with Group Authority Regulations (GAR).
Proactively manage the Internal and External audit requirements to minimize risks and findings.
Partner with Global Controlling / Corporate Accounting to align on accounting / control updates.
Participate in month-end close activities and reconciliations as required to support the operations.
Support Global and Corporate initiatives and inquiries during the normal course of business.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or equivalent
Minimum 5 years related experience in accounting, audit or analysis.
Ability to work with operational teams in a multi-location environment.
Experienced with advanced Excel capabilities (eg. pivot tables, lookups, sumif).
Detail oriented, curious and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
A self-starter and able to initiate new ideas and improvements.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
What is Nice to Have
Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Consumer Products or related industries.
Worked in Accounting or Audit in a For-Profit company or Public Accounting.
Proficient in working with SAP/BPC and related systems.
Experience with SOX requirements.
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel.
Be willing to work 3-5 days a month in an office in Northridge, CA.
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
What We Offer
The standard base salary range for this position is $99,000-$121,000 + applicable bonus.
