Job Summary
The Los Angeles County Office of Education is searching for detail-oriented individuals with strong analytical skills for the position of Accountant.
Under general direction, performs professional accounting work in the computation, recording, and reporting of financial transactions; reviews accounting and other fiscal records; prepares financial report statements and analyses; and provides assistance to technical staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24 semester or 36 quarter verifiable college coursework units in accounting from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience: Accounting experience is desired but not required for this position.
Additional Requirements: A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites may be required for some positions.
