What You'll Do:
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for keeping the facility and grounds visibly clean, equipment internally and externally clean. This includes cleaning common areas, trash pick-up and removal, supporting the production team with running cleaning chemicals through processing equipment to maintain food-grade sanitation. We offer multiple career paths, training in GMP, HACCP, food safety and food production related subjects.
Cleaning duties as set out on the master sanitation schedule for floors, drains, walls perimeters in the plant and warehouse meeting company, customer and government standards
Daily cleaning: i.e. common areas, tanks, pipes and equipment, (some CIP and COP) and filling room floor.
Safe handling and documentation of chemicals used.
Removal and emptying of production garbage and debris
Maintain all sanitation documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Previous experience in the food or chemical processing industry and GMPs (preferred).
Knowledge of food manufacturing sanitation requirements ideal.
Able to work unsupervised, as well as working together with others.
Good organizational and mathematical skills.
Ability and willingness to follow, plant Quality, Safety and Security policies and guidelines.
Able to effectively communicate with co-workers and plant management.
Have a good mechanical aptitude.
