Job Description
Reporting to the Global Head of Investment Risk, the incumbent will be responsible for driving the execution of key strategic priorities for the Investment Risk, along with supporting the operating rhythm for the Investment Risk leadership team. The incumbent will collaborate with business leaders across multiple functions, including but not limited to Investments, Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Strategy and Legal&Compliance.
This role will also develop investment ideas, investment themes and asset allocation recommendations that are used by investment areas in the firm. Does not manage actual funds or portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Global Head of Investment Risk, support the formulation and implementation of strategic priorities for the Investment Risk organization with a focus on the implementation planning and execution phase
- Includes leading cross-functional working teams, tracking progress, elevating issues as appropriate to drive results and collaborating with partners across the firm to “interlock” strategic initiatives proposed by the business units
- Help guide operating rhythm by collaborating with leaders across relevant functions to develop and manage meeting agendas, maintain meeting records and ensure decisions and tasks from meetings are communicated and executed and track progress
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Investment Risk strategy narrative, including the development of presentations and written communications for key internal audiences
- Support other ad hoc, complex but high impact projects
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in financial services, with a top-tier financial services firm (e.g. consulting, banking, private equity, investing) or as a part of in-house Corporate Strategy/Development team
- Demonstrated interest in and understanding of financial markets and the asset management industry
- Strong inter-personal skills, with ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization and to drive stakeholder consensus and influence outcomes
- Superior problem-solving skills and critical thinking, with excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail, and familiarity with competitor and industry research techniques or due diligence
- A team player, with willingness to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Formal Education:
- Bachelors degree with a major in Business, Economics, Finance or related areas with strong academic record
The salary range for this position in New York City is $150,000 - $200,000 / year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
