POSITION SUMMARY: The HRIS Specialist is responsible for creating adhoc HRIS queries and reports from the HR Information Systems designed to process employee information. This position will serve as a liaison between Human Resources, Information Systems and Payroll to support HR projects by providing requirements definition, and coordination of user acceptance testing efforts. Works closely with the HRIS Director to explore ways in which technology can facilitate HR divisional processes as well as serve as HRIS lead on strategic HR initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Responsible to create and deliver custom queries and reports from the HRIS System to support management's data requests. 2. Responsible to run existing menu jobs, queries and reports and distribute them based on the HRIS timelines. 3. Responsible for maintaining all Human Resources related tables and codes with the HRIS environment in accordance with implementation and maintenance of the training admin., recruitment, position tracking, etc. modules. 4. Responsible for producing the annual EEO-1 reports, which includes updating, appropriate tables and testing results. 5. Supports the Employee Relations group in each region by providing the data necessary for Wage Proposals, Department of Labor requests, and OSHA reports. 6. Responsible for working with the Information Systems department to insure that systems requests are defined and provides the User Acceptance testing. 7. Provides the user functionality testing for all system up-grades. 8. Reports blatant data errors to the appropriate function, specifically, data that is being used for reporting purposes. 9. Trains HR staff in the PeopleSoft modules that get implemented and provides support on system access. 10. Provides feedback on ways to improve the utilization of the HRIS System to improve the efficiency of data flow. 11. Participates in project groups and task forces related to the utilization of existing capabilities, upgrades and other topics, as assigned.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:1. The position requires the ability and desire to learn and employ new technologies.2. Must possess three years of experience working in a corporate human resource department, or other similar experience resulting in a good general understanding of HR functions. 3. Must have Kronos experience. Must have experience configuring the system. 4. A good understanding of PeopleSoft HR and benefit applications is desired. 5. Must possess excellent computer skills, an understanding of databases and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
