Job Abstract

The Ambulatory Operation Managers will be directly involved in the day-to-day needs of the Pediatric Heart Center (PHC) which spans all cardiology clinics and areas. The manager participates in conjunction with the Service Line Director in the development of strategic plans and implementation of strategic initiatives focused on improving the profitability and market share of the PHC service line. Participates in direct profit and loss, revenue generation, and expenditure control to optimize the utilization of resources at minimum cost. The manager is also responsible for all aspects of operations of the Pediatric Heart Center service line including business development, personnel management, fiscal management, and long-range planning of business affairs. Plans, directs, coordinates, and manages all non-clinical service line activities, projects and programs, including all aspects of patient scheduling, registration, patient billing, as well as facilities maintenance.

n/a Clinic / center management experience, with progressive expertise in practice management, scheduling, customer-service methods, incident reporting, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and information technology. Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently. Demonstrated managerial skills and human resources management knowledge, including staff deployment, resource utilization, budgeting and financial management, quality improvement, and program planning and implementation. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to convey complex information, instructions, and guidelines in a clear, concise, and specific manner, and to influence and persuade all levels of staff. Knowledge of relevant healthcare and clinic operations information technology, including billing systems and patient care workflows and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing, and compliance environments.
