Job Abstract

The Unit Based Education Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing orientation and in-service education programs with identified instructional outcomes under the direction and guidance of the Administrative Nurse Manager. Teaches pertinent content to staff on the Unit.  Contributes to the quality of patient care by participation in quality improvement activities and research.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Master's Degree - Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree - Required
• Specialty- Nursing Education, Pediatrics
• 5 Years of Work Experience - Required
• Current Licensure as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
• Experience with Pediatric Cardiac ICU preferred.
