The Nurse Educator NICU for the evening/night shift will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standard of care for our tiniest patients. The NICU Nurse Educator will be responsible for educating and mentoring our NICU staff, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills in neonatal care. The NICU Clinical Educator will provide support and collaborate with the NICU team to identify learning needs and tailor educational initiatives accordingly. The NICU Clinical Educator will be tasked with:
Providing ongoing education and training to NICU staff, focusing on best practices and the latest advancements in neonatal care.
Developing and implementing educational programs and materials to enhance staff competency and performance.
Supporting and mentoring new staff members to ensure a smooth transition and integration into the NICU environment.
Evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
NICU Clinical Educator Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), Masters (MSN) preferred.
Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a neonatal intensive care unit.
Strong knowledge of neonatal care standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Experience in developing and delivering educational programs.
Must hold licensure in the State of New Jersey as a Registered Nurse.
Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification is required. BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred.
