AMERICAN SYSTEMS is currently looking for a Chief of Staff (Tech SME) With an active TS/SCI to Lead a small team (6-10 SMEs) on providing effective oversite of key programs of interest within the Space community for OUSD R&E in the National Capital Region! This position will have 30-50% telework!
As a Chief of Staff (Tech SME), you will:
Understand customer requirements and equities, manage staff to provide output of high-quality assessment products.
Act as Space SME and Action Officer for several space programs.

Week in the life of a Chief of Staff (Tech SME):
Lead small team (6-10 SMEs) on providing effective oversite of key programs of interest within the Space community.
Work with CATMS system.
Provide QC of all staff products
Build plans for team engagement with key space programs
Work with DTE&A staff to address all customer requirements.
Guide interaction between program and OSD.
Act as the primary POC between OUSD R&E and the programs we are reviewing.
Manage and Project TS/SCI Work
Job Requirements
Masters Degree in related technical area: Aero, Space Systems, Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of related experience
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Recent experience working on a DoD space-related program.
Some exposure to digital engineering and model-based engineering techniques.
Extensive experience working on DoD acquisition programs or oversite
Test and evaluation (T&E) experience
Experience leading small teams is a must have.
Experience working in or managing staff positions: (Pentagon, OSD Staff, Services Staff, Agency Staff).

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
