As the Senior Game Producer for Combat, you will have a strong understanding of game development best practices and production methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional discipline teams to define achievable goals that deliver best-in-class combat experiences, and providing Production support through all phases of development. When particularly hard problems arise, you will draw upon your diverse experience and the collective creativity of the groups you support to remove blockers and produce a Blizzard-worthy game.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.
What you bring to the table
- Provide Production support for cross-discipline Combat Pods and coordinate the delivery of large features whose dependencies span multiple teams (i.e. engineering, art, design, audio, and QA).
- Partner closely with Product Owners to set achievable, strategic Quarterly and Sprint Goals that deliver best-in-class combat experiences.
- Partner with supported teams to build and refine a Product Backlog that delivers the project’s larger strategic Release Goals.
- Partner with the Combat Product Owners to complete red-line exercises against the Product Backlog to ensure the Combat Pods commit to scope they can deliver.
- Partner with the Combat Product Owners to define and drive the development roadmap for the Combat Pod’s Product Backlog.
- Drive the definition and engagement of a list of key partners for each Product Team, ensuring their feedback empowers an iterative loop of continuous improvement.
- Facilitate team ceremonies using agile methodologies, such as, but not limited to, standups, sprint/milestone planning and reviews, backlog authoring and refinement, retrospectives, playtests, and vision-setting.
- Create alignment between partners and facilitate the flow of information to achieve a shared understanding of the goals and results within the project.
- Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in game production, program management, or combination of applicable training and experience.
- Strong product mentality, passionate about delivering best-in-class gameplay experiences to our players.
- Experience with different project management methodologies (i.e. Sprint, Agile, Kanban) and can identify which methodology is best suited fit the different needs of the project.
- Experience partnering with Product leaders to build a robust Product Backlog, scoping it to the capacity of your teams, and defining an achievable roadmap for delivery.
- Must have shipped at least one AAA game in a production role leading a significant feature or discipline.
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with all phases of game Production, from concept and incubation to AAA scale Production to release.
- Ability to work under stress and help your team members to navigate various challenges and achieve positive results.
- Up to date with the razor’s edge of industry trends including new game genres, new game development methodologies, and emergent technology.
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
